You can call it what you want, but the US has used 'targeted assassinations' throughout it's history. In Vietnam, snipers were sent on missions to assassinate enemy leaders. In WWII, the Japanese Admiral Yamato, who planned the Pearl Harbor attacks, was specifically targeted and his transport plane shot down after American codebreakers decoded a message detailing his flight plans. Even during the Revolutionary War, an American sharpshooter at the Battle of Saratoga was given the specific assignment of taking out the British commander, something gentlemen did not do in battle at that time - he did, the Americans won, and this victory convinced the French to enter the war on the American side.

By contrast, when the British housed American prisoners of war in miserable conditions on prison ships where a large percentage of them died of disease and malnutrition, or tortured American prisoners, George Washington refused to allow his troops to retaliate in kind, and insisted on humane treatment for British prisoners of war.

 

Has anyone noticed in almost every case, liberal thinkers disregard the innocent? What they are saying, attempting to save innocent lives is immoral. Really??? These responses, unfortunately very common since 9/11 are so beyond sad it is not even funny. More so I pose to you that they are "un-American," and do as much to help the enemies our nation faces reach their goals then any amount of slaughter. In fact they aid them 100x more.

That I agree with however not from the standpoint of what I promote, yet what you all promote. "Pussified" in that we can be so easily swayed to go against what our nation has always stood for. It doesn't mean that we always lived it, yet we promoted it and for the most part tried to live up to it...."Indoctrinated" in that it is now, and has always been throughout history a war of values and justice. What you all promote is exactly what the enemy does, not what the United States stands for, yet what they do. So bluntly, in all of you that war has already been lost, the United States the loser.

It doesn't matter if it is 18th century England, Nazi Germany, Communism or Radical Muslim Extremists.....The war has ALWAYS been about our values vs. theirs, and it is not a matter of winning some battle, gaining territory, resources, or the most kills. It is a matter of impressing our beliefs and ways of doing things upon others, as they try to do the same to us.

The basis of our value set in the United States is the Constitution Bill of Rights....That is our battle cry, what we promote to ALL other peoples. We say here is the model of perfection, these are the standards that we live by, and any of you that fall below that need to change to come up to that high water standard.

Throughout the world that has also been the cry to revolution by countless peoples. Ho Chi Minh of North Vietnam like many others actually modeled their initial Declaration of Independence and constitution after the United States, even coming to us to help pressure the Dutch and French to release their grip....Yet we refused. Guess who didn't? Same thing with numerous others.

So it is a war of ideologies. When we change ours be it as individual citizens, or as a nation as a whole....Then we have just given the victory to the other side, and be sure, that IS THEIR GOAL. They want to show to their own people who wish for a United States standard of society that our values, resolve, and principals are weak, flexible and most of all as it applies to this discussion...NOT equally applied to all people which is the strength of those principals.

Most of all, it doesn't just show to their people, yet ALL peoples of the world that our way of life can be turned to THEIRS.....and if America's values can be turned so easily, then the rest of the world loses all hope and gives into them en masse......You want a full on Muslim vs. the U.S. war? Well, that's how you do it.

Finally, the second YOU compromise our values and no longer apply them to all peoples which is the strength behind them, then the people, the citizens of the United States have not only just agreed to forsake their rights when others try and oppress them, yet our own government......IOW, you have then granted our own government the right to do to you, just like they do to them.

You people have forgotten what it means to be an American.............Good job enemies of freedom, we have lost.

U.S. deploys B-52 bombers to Middle East for the first time in 25 years

The U.S. Air Force has deployed B-52 long-ranger bombers to the Middle East, for the first time since the Gulf War ended, to conduct strikes against the Islamic State in
Iraq
and
Syria, officials said Saturday.

An unknown number of B-52s will be based at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the U.S. Air Force Central Command said in a statement.

The announcement comes a day after Secretary of State John Kerry said the U.S. would “turn up the pressure further” against the Islamic State during a surprise visit to Baghdad Friday to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.

 

What ever happened to the use of truth serum? If we need answers why don't they use that? I come from a military family and I don't care how they gotta get it outta these extremists as long as it keeps us safe

When Shooter was a cop a neighboring city had a child kidnapping. The culprit was very solidly identified quickly, he was a known pedophile, and was apprehended within hours.
The child was not with him. He told detectives the child was still alive, but would not be for long, and he wouldn't tell them where the child was unless they cut a deal with him that would keep him from serving any jail time.
One of the detectives offered him an alternative; tell us now, and pray that child is alive, or I will personally beat your nuts into jelly and jam my baton up your ass so far that you will choke on it.
It took some additional convincing; about 15 minutes, but the perpetrator decided the better part of valor would be to tell where the child was.
The child was locked in an abandoned refrigerator. They got to her in time.
At trial the perpetrator alleged that the detective had illegally obtained evidence by torture.
The detective denied all of it.
The perpetrator went to jail where he died two years later when a fellow inmate stabbed him.

Was justice served?
Argue all you want. If it had been my child I would without reservation say yes, and thank the detective for doing his job.

 

Did he have any physical evidence of torture? Doctors records?
